Learn Beginner Conversational Chinese | Do you like to each Chinese food? in Mandarin | Yoyo Chinese

Nǐ hǎo. In this lesson we are going to learn
some new words. The first one is ‘to like’. The second one is ‘to eat’ and the third one
is ‘food/cuisine’. Here’s how you say ‘to like’, xǐ huān, xǐ huān. For xǐ, it’s
spelling is xi, third tone. If you have a hard time pronouncing the sound you can say
s-h-e, sheeee at third tone ok? Sheeee. Now say xǐ huān, xǐ huān. Now say I like you.
Wǒ xǐ huān nǐ. Wǒ xǐ huān nǐ. Now say You like me. Nǐ xǐ huān wǒ. Now ask
Do you like me? It’s easy, you simply say You like me ma? Nǐ xǐ huān wǒ ma? In our
first lesson we have briefly mentioned how to say love. That’s ài, ài. It sounds just like
your left eye and your right eye. Now say I love you, wǒ ài nǐ. Now say You love
me. Nǐ ài wǒ. Now ask Do you love me? Which literally should be You love me ma? Nǐ ài
wǒ ma. Awesome. Now let’s learn how to say ‘to eat’. It’s chī, chī. The spelling for
this sound c-h-i, but it almost sounds like there is a r after chi, it’s a rolled tongue
sound. Like chir in chirp. Think this way, birds like to chirp when they eat. Well I
know this might be a stretch but it helps right? Now say to eat, chī,chī. Here’s how
you say chinese food or chinese cuisine. Zhōng guó cài, zhōng guó cài. Cài means cuisine
or dish. The spelling for this word is c-a-i, fourth tone. Whenever you see the english
letter C in pinyin. You can automatically replace it with ts, so cai sounds like tsai.
Now say Chinese food, zhōng guó cài, zhōng guó cài. Say American food, literally America
dish. Měi guó cài. Měi guó cài. Now say Italian food, literally Italy dish.Yì
dà lì cài. Yì dà lì cài. They are all fourth tones. Yì dà lì cài. Now let’s
put xǐ huān and chī together and say I like to eat, wǒ xǐ huān chī. Say chinese
food, zhōng guó cài. Now let’s put them all together and say I like to eat chinese
food. wǒ xǐ huān chī zhōng guó cài. wǒ xǐ huān chī zhōng guó cài. Great,
now say You like to eat chinese food. Nǐ xǐ huān chī zhōng guó cài. Now ask,
do you like to eat chinese food? Easy, nǐ xǐ huān chī zhōng guó cài ma. how do
you say I like to eat Italian food. wǒ xǐ huān chī yì dà lì cài. How do you say
You like to eat Italian food. Nǐ xǐ huān chī yì dà lì cài. Now ask do you like
to eat Italian food? Nǐ xǐ huān chī yì dà lì cài ma? Awesome, in our next lesson
we are going to learn how to yes and no in chinese. Great job, zài jiàn.

  1. how do you say Korean or korea in Chinese.. this is amazing I found your lessons less than two weeks ago .. other than the impossible pronunciation chinese grammer doesn't seem that hard ! Some of it is directly like english .. I've been studying korean for quite a while and getting nowhere with it .. jp is easier but the same order as korean. If I learn the tones perhaps chinese is much easier to learn! Thank you!
