Recipe inspiration:

Lying on the couch after several courses of a holiday meal has made it difficult for even the liveliest of hostesses to round up guest from their postprandial haze. This drink was inspired by what it would take for me to get off the sofa for that game of Pictionary I always seem to lose. The cream has been replaced with Hazelnut milk making it lighter and more refreshing than cream and the use of cinnamon helps slow the absorption of sugar, which is always a good decision when it comes to sweet treats.

Recipe ingredients:

6 cups ice
1 ½ cups Pacific Natural Foods Hazelnut Milk
2 ounces Disaronno Italian Liqueur
2 ounces Baileys Irish Cream
½ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon almond extract
Freshly ground nutmeg to garnish

Cooking instructions:

Fill blender with ice. Add hazelnut milk, Disaronno, Baileys, cinnamon and almond extract. Blend until smooth and creamy. Add more hazelnut milk if needed to thin. Pour into holiday glasses and top with freshly ground nutmeg.

    Looking forward to this – weather has turned, so this will be perfect. Just need to find hazelnut milk in my area.
