My Favorite Food Memory
Visiting my grandparents on the East Coast was an incredibly sensory experience growing up. My grandmother (Bubby) cooked all of her food from scratch and made the most amazing Matzo ball soup. Growing up, I always made dinner with my mother—it’s a wonderful memory. I can still see her in the kitchen, wearing her blue apron, chopping away. Now I cook dinner with my own children. For me food is family and the kitchen is our gathering place, with many, many memories in the making.
